The complexity of the risks encountered at our workplaces can be high. That's why we give you the summary of our (non exhaustive) SIOEN checklist. Our safety list will help you to select the best protective garments for your specific situation. SIOEN and our distributors will be glad to give you advice when you fill in this list.
Minimum health and safety requirements for the use by workers of personal protective equipment at the workplace. This European directive relates to the employers and says that personal protective equipment (PPE) shall be used when the risks cannot be avoided of sufficiently limited by technical means of collective protection or by measures, methods or procedures of work organization. So PPE is the last resort to protect the user against the remaining irreducible risks (so called "rest-risks") when all other protective measures are considered to be insufficient. PPE protects only the person wearing it.
All SIOEN products are complying to the CE Marking. The CE marking is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential requirements set out in European Directives. In order to use the CE mark on a product the manufacturer must draw up a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) in which the manufacturer attests conformity with all relevant New Approach Directives (NADs) and takes sole legal responsibility. In some instances an NAD may require a Notified Body to issue a Certificate of Conformity in order to verify performance of the product or constancy of the production process (Factory Production Control) for example.
