Our multi-layer garment system
We've created a multi-layering garment-system from underwear to outerwear with unique design features which enable and ensure design compatibility and interaction. The "SIOEN Body Armour Range" provides outstanding and lightweight modular armour systems which protect the individual against threats from handgun, schrapnell, submachine gun, assault rifle, shotgun, knife, bayonet, icepick, syringe and other sharp implements. The built-in anti-trauma shield effectively absorbs the effects of kicks and blows.
The "SIOEN Foul Weather Clothing Range", incorporating our own engineered fabrics, is designed to counteract and protect against the most extreme weather conditions whilst at the same time affording a very high degree of wearability. Garment solutions are available and adapted for the most extreme terrain and climates.
The "SIOEN Functional Undergarment Range" enhances considerably the wearing comfort of the multi-layer system. These comfortable and smart fabrics, worn next to the skin, possess properties that ensure effective and efficient heat and moisture transfer away from the body.
Future Soldier Systems
We provide adequate solutions for the integration of new technology systems, designed for the specific needs of the mounted and dismounted soldier: SIOEN is supporting several world-leading electronic companies for the integration of their C41(*) in the Soldier's Outfit resulting in an efficient, durable user-friendly solution.
Since 2004 SIOEN is developing and delivering multi-layer clothing systems for the French Soldier of the future, named FELIN (=Fantassin à équipments et liaisons intégrés). Wear trials and feedback sessions from the end-users lead to continuous improvement of the range of military products.
Our soldier systems increase the operating capability of the soldier on all the 5 NATO capability domains: mobility, sustainability, C41(*), survivability and lethality.
The current and future challenges faced by the soldier, developers and researchers for the 21th century: effectiveness is expected to be increased with the ability to move at short notice and with endurance, adapting through a seamless spectrum of conflict prevention, conflict and post-conflict activities.
